Vendors at the #Signworld annual convention always deliver when it comes to unveiling new technologies, and last month’s event in Nashville was no exception. Technology worthy of Star Trek’s USS Enterprise appeared, causing attendees to set their phasers to “stun” as the future arrived!

There were educational sessions galore, but for the seasoned sign folks, the vendor forum was where it was at – and this year I found the Coolest. Thing. Ever: new technology that relays an image or logo into open space and can control movement.

Yes, signage has finally gone “holographic.” Imagine seeing your logo rotating in space; or visualize yourself actually walking “through” directional signage and messaging that is hanging in mid-air.

Now imagine that #Hypervsn has responded to the directive: “Beam me up, Scotty!” with an affirmative “Aye, Captain!”

Thanks to the Hypervsn’s Integrated 3D Holographic Display System, all this is finally (visually) possible. This breakthrough in three-dimensional signage adds a brand-new dimension in the hospitality world. I can easily visualize several of my corporate clients using this technology at events. It also creates an energetic vibe in restaurants and clubs.
