A good part of my success has been due to surrounding myself with other high-quality business owners in complementary businesses. That way, when my customers have a need that I can’t fill, I can refer them with confidence to my list of ‘go to’ businesses in a number of different sectors who can.

As an active member of the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce, I primarily refer other business members. But more  important, they are businesses whose services I use, and their owners exhibit the same standards as I do for providing superior products, services and customer service.

A perfect example of this kind of mutually beneficial business relationship is the one I have with Ken Norvell of CMIT Solutions. Ken has become more than a Chamber connection- he is a friend, referral partner, business partner, and fellow community leader. Ken and CMIT Solutions set up our entire computer system and manage our back up and security service. In turn, CMIT uses Insignia Designs to create window graphics, trade show signage, and other visual marketing materials.

What started as two local businesses partnering together to help each other thrive has developed into a high-quality referral network that benefits our customers, too.
