MIRADOR CAPITAL PARTNERS: It’s All in the Timing!
Quote my Project! At Insignia Designs, I work with a lot of commercial interior designers and it’s always a great experience. But there’s one key thing I’ve learned: good designers know the importance of incorporating signage into the design process- but great designers know exactly when to bring us in.
The best time to start consulting your sign designer is after build out and before completion: when the studs are up and drywall in place. At that point, the visionary concept has been accepted by the client, and color, style, scale and furniture decisions are set.
That’s when we joined the design process for Mirador Capital Partners and Tri-Valley Venture Capital as they relocated to new offices in Pleasanton. I worked with their designer who created a clean, modern, contemporary aesthetic for the interiors. Once I knew the design concept, I could make targeted recommendations for dimensions and materials to complement the vision.
Highlights included producing a new business sign featuring an illuminated logo; back wall displays for video interviews; way finding and conference room signage; and adding an etched vinyl overlay to conference room glass for privacy. From a production standpoint, the process was seamless and cost-effective, thanks to the timing. Bringing Insignia in too soon could have resulted in too many opportunities for design changes requiring costly re-dos. But with the visual elements determined, and based on the results, for Mirador Capital Partners, Insignia Designs came in at just the right time.
