There are some basic questions to consider before calling up a shop and asking for a quote:

• Size and dimensions of your sign, banner, decal etc.
• Type of material you want the sign made out of
• Color and quality
• Does your sign need to be reflective or non-reflective
• Is your sign, banner, decal, etc. odd shaped? Does it need to be cut?
• How is the sign going to be mounted, where is it going?
  1. On a pole, fence, wall etc.
  2. Outside of a building (if so, what floor?)
  3. Inside a building
  4. Etc.

Once you know what your needs are, you can then weed out sign shops that do not meet your needs.
