I recently switched up the look of my truck by toning it down with a matte finish base instead of the usual gloss or semi-gloss laminate.

A lot of sign companies don’t talk much about finish when discussing wraps, assuming the traditional semi-gloss or high gloss laminate wraps will make the messaging pop more.

And it does, but at Insignia, we’re always thinking…so when a client recently came to me asking to wrap a white vehicle in black, I said that we could do it like most people, OR we could do it in a more contemporary way that would help the logo and colors pop even more.

How? By creating contrast with visual texture. He went for it and was very happy with a black matte wrap base for his glossy logo, tag line and contact information overlays.
In fact, I liked how it turned out so much, I made my truck “matte-tastic,” too!
